The Red Bridge

Toshio Shibata is known for his landscapes featuring man-made structures such as dams and bridges. His work has received international acclaim and is housed in major institutions including MoMA and the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. While he first gained recognition for his finely nuanced black-and-white photographs, he shifted to color around 2004, opening up a striking new chapter in his practice.
