Shimpei Yamagami
¥11,000税込
For Shimpei Yamagami, the world was complex and difficult to touch.

He would take his camera into the mountains, gazing intently at the trees as he photographed them.
From cliff edges, he would capture the expressions of waves crashing into the sea.
For Yamagami, this was his only way to truly engage with the world.

One day, a wounded butterfly landed on his hand. Despite its injury, the butterfly still tried to fly.
From that day on, Yamagami began photographing butterflies.
These fleeting lives became a conduit for him to connect with both the world and himself.

The photobook, organized into three chapters, traces the photographer’s past, present, and future—always in motion alongside the butterflies—reflecting a life that has long feared and resisted serenity.
