Aononymous, Full circle

“Aononymous” is a coined word that fuses the artist’s hometown, Aomori with the word anonymous. Rather than depicting a landscape simply named “Aomori,” the photographs were taken in direct confrontation and dialogue with the land itself.
These landscapes, imbued with a sense of anonymity, exist quietly yet persistently. The textures - the crevices of rocks, the traces of waves left in sand, the moss, the rippling water’s surface—seem to appeal directly to our own physiological senses.
